Josh and I had been dating for more six months, when he decided to pop the question. And I had absolutely no idea! By that time, I had met his parents a couple of times and he had met my mom and dad too. Six months is all it took for us to realize we were in love, but nothing like marriage was on the cards.

It was the first weekend of September when it all happened. Like any other Saturday morning, I was ready to spend that day in State library searching for some good books. I was almost ready to leave when Rachel called up at my mobile. She sounded hysterical as she urged me to meet her at this restaurant in Madison Avenue. I dropped my library books and drove towards the restaurant. While I was driving worriedly, I had not the slightest idea what was being planned there. Actually, Josh had planned it all with Rachel. He asked Rachel to call me to Madison Avenue where he was already present, along with all mine and his family members. And there I was, driving fast and panicky. I had also tried calling up Josh in case I might need him, but he disconnected my call deliberately. I wasn’t sure what would I do if something was terribly serious and even mom and dad were not picking up their phone. Parking my car in the parking, I ran right into the restaurant where I had been just once before, that too, with Josh. As I walked in, I got the most beautiful surprise of my life.

Josh's parents, my family, Rachel and Jack, every one was there. With a confused look I searched for Kevin and there he was standing beside a table with two glasses of wine in his hands. He handed me the glass and asked me whether I was free enough to spend the rest of my life with him. The moment he asked me this, I just couldn’t control my happiness and said a loud YES.

I don’t remember now what song was playing in the background that time or what Rachel was saying or how happy every one was. All I could think of was that the man I loved had asked me to marry him, and I was soon going to be Mrs. Natalie Geller.
